JANUARY 2022 PLAN WITH ME

Month At A Glance + Habit Trackers

January is peak winter in Canada, so I whipped out the kraft paper snowflakes to be my page filler for these first two pages.

Healthy habit trackers are a staple of my monthly plan with me videos, but they’re especially important additions to January. I always feel like after all the holiday indulging, my body starts craving a return to routine and one of the things that helps me refocus is recommitting myself to hydrating, meditating, and work-outs on a consistent basis. For this month’s habit trackers though, instead of a simple grid or collection of dots like I usually do, I figured it’d be neat to use a different shape of confetti for each habit that I can fill in on the days I successfully perform the habit. For hydration I did circle confetti, for meditation I did triangle confetti and for movement I did square confetti!

New Year, New Recipes Ideas

The start of a new year usually calls for some switch ups to my routines, and food can be a simple way to sprinkle in variety! So these two pages are going to provide a spot for me to take note of some new recipes I want to try this year in all categories: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and desserts!

Budget & Spending Tracker

In my 2022 setup I talked about money goals and a big part of keeping me knowledgable about my spending habits is budgets and spending trackers. The left side of this spread is where the budget section will go— I simply created a basic chart with different categories of spending like rent, bills, food, beauty/health, clothes/books, entertainment, savings, investments, and other.

Below that I added a Dave Ramsey quote that says, “A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - DAVE RAMSEY

On the right page is the spending log portion of the spread. I’m adding a black line on each side with my Sharpie S-Gel pen so that I have two sets of two-column logs. The larger section to is for recording details of the purchase, and the right, smaller column is for recording the amount spent. Pretty simple, but effective!

Weekly Spread

You are all aware of how much I love me a quality vertical layout for my weekly spread, so it only felt right to start a new year and new month with one. I went in again with my Tombow Monotwin black marker to divide up each day of the week— cutting Saturday and Sunday in half because those are usually not planning heavy days, and wrote the days of the week in cursive.

The page felt like it could use a bit more filler, so I whipped out my white gelly roll pen in size 08 and just started sprinkling white dots where It felt right to do so! I think this really just ended up finishing off the spread nicely!

Is anyone else still processing the fact that January 2022 is going to be a thing?! 😅 Let me know your favourite from this month’s plan with me in the comments below! Until next time, Xo —C
